It's Official, I'd Rather Be Dirty

I don't know what the answer is, but the question remains the same:

How does one get clean in the shower without constantly running out of soap?

The liquid stuff, that gooey substance that does nothing for you, is empty mere days after purchase. Plus, you gotta have some kind of sponge, which gets yucky shortly after use, so you might as well not soap at all if you're soaping with a dirty sponge.

Then there's the old standby, the bar of soap. Can't complain really, except there is no way whatsoever to keep it out of the direct stream of water. Within days this too looks murky, half washed away, half worthy of its price.

Would it be a crime to discontinue soaping? Or will that unleash a whole other stream of anxiousness?
